SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

A one-time scholarship is open to high school seniors who meet the eligibility criteria. This scholarship is not renewable, and is designated for the first year of post-secondary education only. Student’s awarded a scholarship must submit a valid proof of enrollment as a full-time student by the deadline. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the school listed on the enrollment form. Once a scholarship has been awarded, monies may not be transferable to another institution. Scholarships under this program shall be awarded to qualified candidates without any unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or political affiliation.

Completed applications and all supporting documentation should be submitted to high school guidance counselors by the deadline.

STUDENT ELIGIBILITY

  • Student’s parent/guardian must be a member of Intercounty Electric Cooperative
  • Student must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Student must attend an accredited college, university, or vocational school/program following high school graduation.
  • Scholarship application must be completed and signed by student, parent/guardian, and counselor.
  • Student must include a 300-500 word essay on the topic “How Would You Change the World for Better if You Could”
  • Student must include an official school transcript
  • On a separate document (academic resume), student must list out any extracurricular activities, membership in clubs, offices held, honors received, and any community involvement

2026 Deadlines

  • March 2, 2026: Applications and documentation due to counselors
  • July 1, 2026: Enrollment Verification forms due to Intercounty
