2012 Youth Tour Essay Contest

Youth Tour 2012 is underway!  High school juniors in Intercounty's service territory are eligible to enter the Youth Tour Essay Contest for a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C.  First step is to write a short essay.  See the brochure or talk to your high school English teacher for more information.  Good luck!
  
Cornerstone Energy Solutions Contest

"Comfortize-Least Efficient Home" Contest

Cornerstone Energy Solutions is having a contest through Friday, February 17th.  To enter, submit a picture of your house along with a short paragraph about why your home is inefficient and any steps you have taken to try to make it better.  You can enter this on Cornerstone's facebook page and have your friends "like" your photo or turn in your picture and paragraph to one of the Intercounty offices.  There will be a first, second and third place winner for both the facebook submitted entries and the office submitted entries...so, enter both!

First Place: Complete "Comfortize" kit custom built for your home containing some fo the highest impact, simplest to install energy efficiency products available.  A $300 value.

Second Place: Complete supply of one type of item in the comfortize kit (of your choice) with products ranging from CFL bulbs to water saving showerheads to attic hatch covers.  A $25 - $100 value.

Third Place: Eight pack of CFL bulbs.  A $10 value.

CFL's: Changing the World

Select the image to the left to figure how much you can save by changing out your incandescent light bulbs to the more efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL's).

Don't forget you can recycle your used CFL bulbs at any of Intercounty's offices.
